It seems that one way a host can keep you around when you're not a "happy camper" with their services is by limiting backups and your ability to not only access them but create them as well.
All of our customers have the Backup Wizard turned on in the cPanel we provide to our customers.
This is another reason our hosting actually costs less than most hosts' claims of hosting for just a few $. After they get you going, the "add-ons" start. "Oh, you wanted to be able to get a backup before loading a mod? Sorry, that'll be an extra $$ per month." Add what your current host wants for hosting plus what they charge for backups and you may find that we are the cheaper solution.
